What is Community?

If you Google the word "community," one of the many definitions you will find is "a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals." This appropriately describes the community of Stratford Street United Church. We believe in God, but we also believe in and rely on one another, at all times but especially at times of joy and sorrow. Within the church are informal connections such as helping out with children when a parent is deployed, lending a hand when someone is moving or injured, or lending a shoulder to cry on when someone is struggling. As a mission oriented church, we also reach out to the wider community through more formal community-based activities and actions. And throughout our activities are the spirit of love and the attitude of joy.
