Food Pantry > How To Help
No matter your age, religious affiliation, or income, there are ways to help our food pantry.
Whether it is stocking shelves, unloading trucks, taking inventory, picking up food orders, setting up on shopping days, greeting our guests, helping to put everything away, or all of the above, many hands make light work.
Sending money to the the food pantry will help support our mission. Click the Button Below to Donate or send a check made payable to Rose's Bounty/Stratford Street United Chuch and Mailed to Stratford Street United Church, which is a 501(c)(3) organization.
Shoppers at Rose's Bounty are always looking for bags to help them carry their groceries home. Paper bags are the preferred bags, but extra recycled bags (such as those from Whole Foods) are also appreciated.
Get the Word Out
Low on cash or time? No worries! Tell your friends, neighbors, or local businesses about the food pantry in West Roxbury. By getting the word out, you are making a difference.
It might be stating the obvious, but food pantries need food. While we get a large percentage of our food from institutions such as the Greater Boston Food Bank and supermarket donations, there is always room for more. Consider organizing a food drive at your children’s school, with your Scout troop, at your church, or your place of business. Watch for Rose’s Bounty donation boxes at banks, the post office, or convenience stores. Or buy a few extra items when you do your own weekly shopping.
You can donate non-perishable goods at the church during our office hours, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10AM-2PM (ring the doorbell on the door on the left). We also have donation bins at the following locations:
